As much as we try to avoid them, sometimes tragedies do occur and force us to take a step back and re-evaluate things. An example of this is when even though you have equipped your business with a fire alarm to keep it safe, a fire still starts and ends up damaging some of the building.

First, see where the fire took place and see if there were any alarms within the direct vicinity of it. If there weren’t you may have to go and expand your alarm system to make sure every nook and cranny of your business is safeguarded.
However, if there was an alarm already in place, then it is time to either look in to a new alarm system or look in to why the system malfunctioned and correct that issue so it doesn’t happen again. Another aspect to look in to is how high the alarms are in your building. Smoke does rise but if the alarms are too high then by the time smoke hits them it may already be too late to do anything about the fire.
Simple things like that are often forgotten but ultimately could be the difference between tragedy and saving your business.
